Course of Study

Intensive Reading and Math

Students who score a level 1 or 2 on FCAT Reading or Math are required to take an Intensive Reading and/or Intensive Math class.

Language Arts
Students are required to read 25 books throughout the school year. Five of the 25 books can be read over the summer. The summer reading required book is Holes by Louis Sachar.

Social Studies




All students at Seaside are required to take three years of Spanish unless they are enrolled in a remedial reading class.

Physical Education

    • Physical Education/Health classes are mixed grade levels. Physical Education is taught daily as a yearlong course.
    • Dance – Dance classes may be taken in place of physical education.


Seacoast Collegiate High School

Students are enrolled in seven periods per day. Core courses are courses all students must take their ninth grade year. Students choose from elective courses for the remainder of their course work.
