FAQ The Online Application Process Q. How long does it take to complete the online application process? Typically, the process should take from 10-20 minutes, depending on the grade you are applying for. Q. What if I do not have access to a computer? Paper applications will not be accepted. Please contact the Seaside Schools at (850) 231-0396 for assistance. Q. Is there another way of submitting an application other than online? No, the application process is strictly electronic. Q. Once I've submitted the application electronically, how will I know that the submission is successful? Once the application is completed online, you will receive a generated message based on the email address you provided when you created an account. Q. Should I allow anyone else to use my account? It is the user's responsibility to protect the integrity of any information entered in the system. This includes but is not limited to passwords or personal information about you or your child. You must also agree not to share your login information or password with anyone except a parent or legal guardian. Q. My account has been disabled because I've attempted to login too many times. Should I set up another account? No. You must call Seaside Schools for an administrator to assist you. Q. After I have completed the online application process application, is there another step to complete the process? Only if you have selected to hand deliver certain parts of your application. If you choose to hand deliver documents, you will be required to scan and upload documents at the time of delivery. Please allow for time to complete this task. Hand delivery of documents will only be accepted by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The last day to hand deliver documents is Thursday, March 26, 2015. Call Lori Atlas at 850- 200-4170 to schedule an appointment. Required documents for Seaside and Seacoast will only be accepted at the Seacoast Collegiate High School campus. Q. If I apply by the March 31, 2026 application deadline, when is the absolute latest I can hand-deliver the application? I live in a nearby school district. Will my child be able to apply for a Seaside School? Yes. Applicants from outside Walton County can apply to Seaside Schools but priority is given to residents of Walton County. Selection Process
Q. How is the lottery conducted? An external consultant conducts the lottery for each application period using Board approved criteria. Q. When will parents be notified if they are selected to participate in a program? Q. What if my child is not selected for the initial lottery process? Once the initial letters are mailed to those students who are accepted, parents must accept the seat and/or participate in a screening process. Once vacancies become available, students in the waiting pool will be offered seats using the selection process. |
Admissions: Pupils will be considered for admission without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability or achievement level.
Priority will be given to pupils that are residents of Walton County, the school district in which the Seaside Neighborhood School (SNS) Seacoast Collegiate High School (SCHS) is located. |
